Underground Train Ooedo Line (Shinjuku-nishiguchi to Ueno-Okachimachi)

A train ride completly underground from with the Ooedo Line from Shinjuku-nishiguchi to Ueno-Okachimachi. You can hear the wifi network (steady monotonous rhythm) provided by the owner of the line at each station (there must be 9 stations). The first 4min detektor was waiting for the train. 2nd train station is coming closer at 05:18, 3rd 08:25, 4th 10:32, 5th 12:15, 6th 14:16, 7th 18:44, 8th 20:24 and the 9th 22:44. Before each station you can hear the same sonic process. Maybe it is the mobile phones establishing connection to BTSs? Very strongly pulsed signals.

Shinjuku Station walk around

A walk around the JR Shinjuku Station, which is one of the most busy train stations in Japan. You can hear the density of the trans-sonical infoscape quite well (wifi, 3G-mobilephones, BTSs, GPS and other unrecognizable signals). Outside the labyrinthine building (9:09 and 14:33) the detektor gets overloaded due to the presence of many BaseTranseiverStations (BTS).

Berlin Tempelhof – repetitive signal with HF background

Recorded using HF detektor in the apron of Berlin Tempelhof former Flughafen. As previous entry with repetitive signal but now with more present HF background.

Berlin Tempelhof – unusual repetitive signal 01

Recorded using HF detektor in the apron of Berlin Tempelhof former Flughafen. High frequency background with an intermittent, repetitive loud chirping signal (a set of three peaks) returning every five seconds. The same signal was also heard in many locations around Tempelhof

Dortmund, Mainstation <> Dortmunder U

Detektor started the walk at the main station of Dortmund and walked via Katharinenstrasse (a street name, only pedestarian zone) to Kampfstrasse, where suddenly (04:15) the background noise and the usual BTS signal disappeared, due to an overload of a similar type as near the tv tower of Alexander Platz Berlin. As detektor walked further in direction of Dortmunder U there was almost nothing to hear. At 05:50 detektor passed through a pathway inside/under a building and left the passage at around 07:00. Towards the end of the recording, when arriving at a square in front of Dortmunder U. There were 3 BTS directly standing in front of the detektor (see video). At 07:50 the detektors HF antenna on its board was touched by a human hand, it did that for several times. Actually all the time from then to the end, when there is a signal audible.

There is also a video of the 3 BTS.

HF Linienstrasse indoors

HF recording with detektor on central table in a small, hinterhof studio. No wireless router in studio, one mobile phone (not in use) approximately three metres away from recorder. Household rhythms.

Zolastrasse Berlin

HF recording made on corner of Zolastrasse and Linienstrasse. After a few seconds a very unusual, pure high frequency tone with few punctuations is found at a particular point in space.

Volksbühne Berlin

HF detektor recorded on bench close to Volksbühne in Berlin Mitte. Much more intense pulsing of all signals compared to close-by Babylon recording.

Karl-Liebknecht Berlin

A very short walk, dance along my favourite spectral zone Karl-Liebknecht-Strasse. HF recording with the detektor and some varying, interesting signals.

HF recording made with no movement, on concrete “bench” close to top of Schendelpark, Berlin Mitte. Interesting low frequency burst patterns.

Hirtenstrasse Berlin

HF detektor recording made with very little movement, very close to the ground on the corner of Hirtenstrasse and Karl-Liebnecht-Str. Rich spectral ecology with mid-range frequencies.

HF recording made with very little movement, close to the ground outside the Babylon Cinema in Berlin Mitte. Interesting higher frequency pulsing after 20s.

Radisson Hotel at Alexander Platz Berlin

Radisson Hotel Berlin

The reason you hear almost nothing at the beginning is supposably due to the massive radiation of the alexander platz tv tower. I walked from close range (50m) of the tower to Radisson Hotel Karl-Liebknecht-Straße 3. You can clearly hear a shift of infoscape when the detektor entered the radisson hotel starting at 03:12 and left the hotel lobby at 10:05 and entered again around 10:30.

HF range background Noise Indoor

Recording is made with the HF-module of our “detektor”. Beware it is indoor, so no high pitched base transceiver station (BTS) signal hearable.
